AN INCREDIBLE & COMPREHENSIVE AERIAL TOUR
- Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii
This one hour tour focuses on giving you a birds eye view of the beautiful island of Kauai. Since the geography of Kauai is so rugged and inaccessible, a guided helicopter tour should be an essential part of your itinerary. On this tour, you will get to enjoy breathtaking views accompanied by a specially designed soundtrack and narration being fed through your inflight Bose headphones.
The Ultimate Kauai Helicopter Experience Tour Features
Fly Over Waimea Canyon
Waimea Canyon is often called the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific." Stretching for approximately 10 miles from the island's interior to the sea, this deep chasm reaches depths of around 3,500 feet. The canyon features numerous waterfalls and microclimates that are best appreciated from the air, as they are nearly impossible to see from the ground.
The vibrant red layers of earth in Waimea Canyon contrast beautifully with the lush tropical forests that thrive within it. These geological features are a testament to the island's ancient history, as they were sculpted by the dormant shield volcano that formed the island approximately 5 million years ago.
The Incredible Na Pali Coast
The Na Pali Coast offers a truly magical experience, showcasing the raw beauty of nature and providing a unique perspective of one of Hawaii's most iconic coastlines. This wild and wondrous coastline is a sight to behold, with its landscape equally divided between towering cliffs and inviting ocean.
As you soar above, you'll view the famous hiking trails of the Na Pali Coast, visible from the air as they wind around the steep mountainsides. Watch for the shimmering rainbows that often grace the area below. These rainbows result from the frequent rainfalls, mist, and condensation in this incredibly wet coastal region, which receives approximately forty feet of rain annually.
Views You'll Only See From The Air
Explore the hidden beauty of Kauai from the air, as over 70% of the island is inaccessible by land. Witness the majestic Manawaiopuna Falls, famously known as the "Jurassic Park" falls, as they cascade dramatically between the mountaintops of Hanapepe Valley.
Fly along Kauai's stunning north shore, where you'll marvel at the turquoise waters of Hanalei Bay and the luxurious resort areas of Princeville. Weather permitting, your journey will take you to the summit of Mt Wai’ale’ale, the highest point on the island and the second wettest place on earth. Here, you'll encounter 3000-foot waterfalls and mist-covered rainforests, culminating in a spectacular finish to your hour-long flight that covers the entire island.
