Why Are Helicopter Tours Included?

Many great helicopter tours go around the entire island and may include landings at remote, incredible locations too. Helicopter rides are an excellent way to see the island in a short hour to 90-minute flight.

What Are Circle Island Tours?

They are sightseeing road and helicopter tours that generally operate in a circle route around an island or prominent feature, like a mountain, on an island. We specialize in Circle Island Tours on the major islands of Hawaii.
Why are some tours referred to as being “Grand”?

We have a lot of different variations to our tours so we use the phrase “Grand” to refer to our longest or have the most stops in that particular category or island. For example, a Grand circle island tour will be about 2 hours longer than the standard and include 1-2 additional stops. For some guests, that extra time (12 hours in total on average) may be too much.

Oahu FAQ

What sightseeing option makes for the best Oahu tour for a first-time visitor?

On the island of Oahu, we think the best option is a Grand Circle Island Tour. It’s a full day of exploration but you will see most of the important sites and it typically includes a meal too. It’s a great way to enjoy a vacation day totally stress-free. Our second choice would include a stop at Pearl Harbor if you are not planning on visiting that area on another tour.
Are meals included in these experiences?

Meals may be included in your tour, so please check to see what is included in the tour detail section. In most cases, your guide will make stops for food and give you plenty of time to enjoy a meal at a location everyone will enjoy. (Food trucks on the North Shore or great farm-to-table restaurant).
Can we be picked up in places other than Waikiki? Like Aluani in Ko Olina, Turtle Bay on North Shore, or even at the cruise ship pier or airport.

Yes, we can pick up guests almost anywhere on the island. However, we will need to collect an extra fee on our shared small and large group tours from locations outside of Waikiki. These tours are not running every day so please check the individual tours to see if an option is available on the day you are looking to travel.
Can we customize our Oahu experience even more?

Your best bet is to choose the tour that is closest to what you want to experience and then leave us some notes about what you would like to see. If we can make it happen, then we will. In some cases, we can help organize a helicopter flight or even assist in proposals, picture taking, and making special stops (which may include an extra fee). The best bet is to choose a private tour for your party so we can customize it to the max.

Maui FAQ

Do any tours go all the way around Maui (around both West Maui and Haleakala)?

There are no tours that would make that trip in a single session. There simply are not enough hours in a day to drive it all. The trip around Haleakala is about 12 hours, and then around West Maui is another 8 hours with stops. If you drive it straight without stopping for any breaks at all, you might be able to travel the entire route in about 10 hours.
Should we do Road To Hana or West Maui?

We prefer the road to Hana as it’s better set up for visitors with more stops, places to support the community, and great food options. We love having lunch out in Hana and getting back to the Westside to enjoy a spectacular sunset. For visitors who have already enjoyed the road to Hana and/or are returning visitors and want to get out to see something new, then the West Maui route is the perfect thing to do on Maui.
What is the most popular Maui tour?

Most visitors to Maui will, at one point, attempt the journey to Hana. There are two options to make this trip: the standard route, experiencing the rainforest in the morning or going around the backside (referred to as going in “reverse”) with its windswept open plains first. The most popular is to explore the rainforest in the morning, making your way around the island so you can see the sunset from Upcountry Maui at the end of the day.
Do any of these tours include a visit to the summit of Haleakala?

Unfortunately, the summit will need to be visited on a different day. You will want to devote an entire morning or afternoon to enjoy Haleakala National Park and going to Hana or rounding West Maui on the same day will be too much. We can help arrange a visit to this location on another day so please ask our team to help you arrange that.

Kauai FAQ

What time of year is best to visit Kauai

Each time of year has its own special mix of pros and cons, but we find that the shoulder seasons of September - November, and April - June are the most pleasant with the weather as well as affordable airfare and hotels.
Where is the airport on Kauai?

The main airport is in the town of Lihue, and when you fly to Kauai this is likely where you will land. There is also a smaller airport near Princeville.
What type of Kauai tour is best?

Seeing as only 10% of Kauai is drivable, we always recommend a helicopter tour. From the air, you will be able to see a totally new and untamed part of Kauai that you simply can't get to from the ground.

Big Island FAQ

We are staying at a vacation rental. Can we be picked up at our accommodation?

In most cases, if you are staying in the resort areas we will be able to pick you up at the nearest safest spot for us to pull over. If you are staying in a neighborhood outside of those areas, we will arrange a location where you can meet your guide. For example, in Waikoloa, many tours will meet at the main marketplace, where there is plenty of free, safe parking.
Is a visit to the volcano included in every tour?

Yes, all of our Big Island circle island tours will make multiple stops within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. You may be lucky enough to witness the spouting of the lava in Kilauea during your visit.
How big are the group tours being offered?

Most of our tours have a maximum number of guests of 12 unless the individual tour states differently. We work to provide custom, personal experiences for each guest. Please let your guide what you are excited about seeing.

Are Private Tour Customizable?

Absolutely! Some private tours offered on the site are created with a small group in mind, but if you are trying to create a totally custom experience simply reach out to our team and we will help in that process.
Can we visit nearby Hawaiian Islands?

Our team can organize tours across the state. We have the ability to set up hotels, flights, ground transportation, and plenty of exciting activities. Simply reach out to us directly and we would be happy to recommend an existing tour, or to create a custom tour based on your vacation desires.
How many people can come on a private tour?

It definitely depends on the activity, but we can customize transportation to fit your group's unique size and needs.
Are your tours ADA accessible?

Yes, we have vehicles that are equipped with wheelchair ramps, lifts, and other essential equipment. If one or more of your parties need any of these accommodations please let our team know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
