This tour begins with a complimentary vehicle pickup In Waikiki or Ko Olina by your tour guide. From there you will be taken to the first stop of the day which is the Nu’uanu Pali Lookout. This lookout features prominently in the history of King Kamehameha’s journey to unite the Hawaiian islands as it was the site of one the major battles. Next up is the Byodo-In Temple hidden off the main road in the Ko’olau mountain range which has been called one of the most beautiful Buddhist Temples in the world. Stop number three on the tour is Tropical Farms, a family owned roadside country store founded in 1987 where you can purchase local snacks and souvenirs.
Along the North Shore, your driver will take you to a great place to sit down and enjoy a picnic lunch which is included as part of the tour. Following the North Shore coastline you will likely catch glimpses of the surfers enjoying the waves before reaching Waimea Valley. Upon arrival at Waimea Valley your guide will lead you on a short hike to a huge 45’ waterfall with a bright blue pool beneath it in which you can swim. To round out the tour and end the day you will be driven through Haleiwa Surf Town before stopping at the world famous Dole Plantation. After exploring the pineapple fields and learning the history of the plantation don’t forget to grab a DoleWhip frozen dessert!
