If your looking for adventure but are crunched for time, consider our 7-8 hour Taste of Hāna tour. The adventure begins when we pick you up from Kahului Park and Ride. From there, we will drive by sugar cane fields while your guide educates you on the history of Hawai’i’s plantation era. We will stop at Ho’okipa beach park, world-class surf, and kite-surfing spot before visiting Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles basking on the shoreline. On the road, we will drive-by bamboo thickets and eucalyptus forests, other flora and fauna, waterfalls, and maybe even stop for a swim, depending on the flow. We’ll take a break to enjoy Maui’s famous Banana Bread and whatever other local snacks and treats you’d like to try along the way.
Next, we will drive down to the Keanae Peninsula, a traditional Hawaiian village known for its taro fields, still tended to by mahi’ai (cultivators) in the same fashion as their Hawaiian ancestors. We will visit an original stone missionary church built in 1856 and the only building to survive the devastating tsunami of 1946. We will end our trip in Wailua, where you will witness the best waterfall the road has to offer, Waikani, a majestic three-tiered waterfall you surely won’t want to miss. And if you’re feeling adventurous, we can even take a short trek down to the base of the falls.
Have a little more time to adventure? This 8-9 hour tour will include everything from the Taste of Hāna tour, plus more!
After we have adventured around Wailua, we will embark on an underground path, traversing through lava tubes while learning about Pele, the Goddess of Fire and creator of the Hawaiian Islands. Next, we’ll make a quick stop at Coconut Glenn’s for sweets and treats made from Maui coconuts. And then we’ll head to Wai’anapanapa Beach Park, a black sand beach, translating to “glistening water” or “water flashing rainbow hues.” Here, you may want to take a dip in the ocean, swim through sea caves, or just relax on the beach. We will stop at Nahiku Marketplace, an excellent place to try local-style cuisine and find locally made souvenirs. And we’ll conclude our tour exploring Hāna town, “the Heart of Old Hawai’i,” the seat of power for Maui in the 15th Century, a quaint island village, once favored by the Ali’i (Hawaiian royalty). After stretching our legs and maybe grabbing a bite to eat, we’ll make our way back to our original starting point.
This 10-12 hour tour will take you all the way around the base of a volcano! Beginning at the Kahului Park and Ride, this tour will include everything from our Hāna Bound tour and more!
Beyond Hāna, the road becomes narrow and rugged, providing beautiful sights witnessed only by those adventurous enough to take the road less traveled. Here you will have the opportunity to explore Maui’s hidden side. Experience the lush jungles of Kipahulu, barren lava fields, canyon formations, and many more natural wonders as we make our way up Haleakalā for a birds-eye view of Maui’s coast and outer lying islands. Then, enjoy the view of the setting sun, sit back and relax as we make our way down the mountain and back to our original starting point.
On this 10-12 hour tour, we’ll take all the way around, and you can add on a 4-mile hike through the Bamboo Forest. We’ll pass several waterfalls, including the 200ft Makahiku Falls. You’ll learn about indigenous plants and non-native species. And if Makahiku wasn’t impressive enough, you’ll be rewarded with the majestic view of Waimoku, a 400 ft waterfall.
