Tour Description
Be sure to arrive at the Kahului Airport 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time to check in and meet your pilot. As the tour gets underway and your pilot lifts off quickly from the ground, you will be met with views of Maui’s central valley, which contains miles of old sugarcane fields as well as the city of Kahului. From there, you will head towards Maui’s North Shore where you can enjoy views of the surf town of Paia and the massive waves slamming against the coral and lava rock at Ho'okipa Lookout. Following the route of the infamous Road to Hana, you will get to see all the sites along the road including waterfalls, jungle valleys and the rugged coastline.
After leaving the jungles of Hana, you will rapidly gain elevation as you cruise toward the summit of Haleakala. The otherworldly landscape in and around the crater of this ancient volcano will look even more spectacular from above in the cabin of a helicopter. After leaving Haleakala, you will fly over the Upcountry region, Maalaea, and West Maui before heading into the West Maui Mountains. The majority of the jagged peaks, misty valleys, and glorious waterfalls are only accessible by helicopter, so the views enjoyed on this tour you would never be able to get by driving or hiking. As the tour comes to a close, you will be flown around the backside of the West Maui Mountains where if you time it right, you may see the Nakalele Blowhole go off.
